My daughter *wants* an iPad

My almost-thirteen year old daughter absolutely wants an iPad. She asked me six times in a row last night. She’ll keep asking too.

She already has an iPod touch, and access to a shared MacBook (which I sometimes take to work purely to use Tinderbox). Other than school assignments, most of her computing is already done sitting on her bed.

She heavily uses email and Facebook for communication; YouTube and Facebook for entertainment; Google and Wikipedia for gathering knowledge; Pages for preparing school assignments.

She loves the minimalist user interface. She loves the concept of the size of the device. It’ll suit her current usage patterns really well.
