iPads are primarily consumer devices

It was easy to predict that the iPad would be focused on consumers. Book readers. Video watchers. Photo gazers. Game players.

It’s a no-brainer that an iPad would be able to demonstrate a Keynote presentation.

What’s surprising is that, in addition to the consumer angle, Apple actually have attempted to take on the Netbook market by including iPad versions of iWorks and an external keyboard. Time will tell whether folks will use the iPad as a mobile computer. But it’s use as an interactive consumer device seems assured.
