Mogeneration goes social for price comparison
Friday, August 7, 2009 at 3:19AM On June 29, I commented about the melt-down of the Australian Federal Government's Grocery Watch scheme. In that note, I contrasted the strategy of using information sourced centrally—from the retailers themselves—with a strategy of using crowd-sourced mobile information. I predicted that a development house specialising in social mobile media would incorporate crowd sourcing as a strategy for keeping pricing information fresh.
Turns out I was right. Because the development house I nominated in that article as likely to pursue such a strategy—mogeneration—yesterday announced the imminent release of a social mobile price comparison application that looks like it will do just that.
GetPrice mobile doesn't do groceries. But it does incorporate the predicted strategy.

A small comment Loryn to clear up any potential confusion. Getprice is an application we have been developing for Getprice, it is not a mogeneration product. Thanks! Tom
I think that incorporating crowd sourcing as a strategy for keeping pricing information fresh is good but I think that Viagra Online is one of the great sources you have forgotten,.
